Charles Austen Pumps offer a complete laboratory pump service, from supplying individual units for portable benchtop use, to complete vacuum system installations within the laboratory.

Our in-house design and installation team are experienced in fitting the most cost effective and space saving vacuum systems into the laboratory, from simply adding vacuum to a fume cupboard, to installing a complete vacuum system into the bench with several users running experiments from just one pump. Recent projects include chemistry department refits for both Surrey and Warwick Universities as an environmental best practice replacement to costly and wasteful water-jet pumps.

A complete range of installations accessories can be supplied including PTFE vacuum taps and fume cupboard fittings. The slim-line design of the Innovac pump allows installation under and between bench space.

Used throughout the World Innovac differentiates from the competition with its exclusive features including a tough alloy case ensuring against damage from chemicals, rough handling and occasional abuse often found in teaching laboratories. The unique t-slot rail allows the user to quickly and easily retro-fit necessary attachments such as a separator, condenser or vacuum controller, eliminating the need for expensive and cumbersome base plates and scaffolding. An hour meter is neatly recessed into the top of the pump casing to record process running times and the service tool is stowed in the pump handle for quick easy decontamination.

Proven applications include rotary evaporation, filtration, gel drying and as an environmentally friendly and cost saving replacement for waterjet pumps.
